In Dungeonborne Fighter is a Human melee class. What makes Fighter great is his ability to deal a lot of damage while healing itself. Fighter is a great class, but you need to know how to use and position yourself. Yes, it has healing and some mobility, but it simply cannot catch range units like Dead Knight can.
Fighter for solo mode is not that great simply because you can get damaged by range class until you reach them if you manage to reach them. I recommend that you pick Fighter only for duos and trios, where your team will have classes that can heal you or catch enemy units so you can burst them down. Do not get me wrong; Fighter is an extremely strong class, but you need to learn how to play and fight enemies to get into melee range.
Fighter Skills
When it comes to skills for Fighter, you have 4 available: Battle Cry, Whirlwind, Inspire, and Charge.
Whirlwind is a unique skill that requires a fighter to have two-hand swords. You can’t use this skill without it. A whirlwind can deal a lot of damage, but it is easily countered. Like the enemy can block damage or simply escape so you will spin in place without damaging anyone, I would use this skill against new players, but if you are in advanced lobbies where players know what they are doing, then go with Battle Cry.
Battle Cry is an incredibly powerful skill that will provide you with 30% more damage, 30% resistance, and 30% life steal. If you have stamina at 42, it will also provide you with a shield. Nowadays, a lot of players make mistakes and activate these skills immediately when they start fighting, even before they come close to the enemy, but that is a mistake. You want to activate this skill if the enemy starts to burst you, your health is under 70%, and you are able to hit the enemy. Once activated, you must deal damage in order to benefit from life steal.
Inspire skill will give you and your allies movement speed. It sounds good, but to be honest, this skill is bad. Yes, in some scenarios, speed will help you catch an enemy, but with other skills like Charge, you will have much more flexibility.
Charge is a much better skill than Inspire. The reason is that you can get close to the enemy, escape, dodge potions or enemy attacks, and do much more. With Charge, you are flexible, and it allows you to make some great plates that can save and win your games.
Whirlwind: Swings weapon and spins while moving, each strike dealing 52.83(75.00%) damage. (Requires a two- handed weapon)
Battle Cry: Let out a battle cry, increasing your attack damage by 30% , physical resistance by 30% , and granting 30% Life Steal, lasting for 5 seconds.
Inspire: Boost the morale of yourself and nearby allies, increasing movement speed by 150 for 3 seconds.
Charge: Quickly charge forward a short distance. Using this skill will not interrupt actions currently being performed.
Fighter Stats and Passive Skills
When it comes to Passive Skills and Stats for Fighter build your main focus should be:
Stamina: Stamina is the most important stat to proc on Fighter. When you reach 42 stamina, you will get a shield when using Whirlwind or Battle Cry. This is huge in a fight. Keep in mind that average health is around 1k, so getting 200 shields is 100% worth it.
Strength: Strength is another important stat for Fighters. When you reach 50 strength, you will slow 20% of the enemy’s speed when using a Battle Cry. This is great because you use Battle Cry to burst down the enemy and heal yourself, so with 20% slow, the enemy will have a hard time escaping you.
Dexterity: Get dexterity to 33 when you get your stamina and strength. With dexterity, you will deal more damage with blocks. This is especially important when you are playing solo, where blocking is important in 1vs1, while in duos and trios, you will block but not that often. For Duos and Trios, it is better.
Dexterity: Will has great stats when you are playing with the team. With Will on 27, you will not deal damage to friends, and they will not deal with you. We all know that when fighting, there is always a chance that your teammate will hit you with an attack, especially if they are playing range class. So with the will of 27, you will prevent that. If you are using Whirlwind, then will is crucial so you do not damage allies when you are spinning which can be devastating. If you are playing solo, then there is no point in getting Will.
Fighters do not benefit from intelligence and faith, so they should be avoided.
Hamstring: While [Battle Cry] is active, hitting an enemy with a weapon applies a 20% slow.
Activation Condition: Strength: 50
Fired Up: Killing an enemy player resets the cooldown of [Inspire].
Activation Condition: Strength: 87
Vengeful Riposte: After a successful defense, y:.ur next attack is guaranteed to be a critical strike.
Activation Condition: Dexterity: 33
Weapon Mastery: When releasing [Battle Cry], gain a 200 point shield for g seconds.
Activation Condition: Stamina: 42
Restraint: Cannot damage allies and cannot be damaged by allies.
Activation Condition: Will: 27
Fighter Weapons and Equipment
Fighters can use a lot of different weapons in Dungeonborne: One-Handed Swords, Crossbows, Shields, Two-Handed Swords, and One-handed Maces. What you will choose depends on your playstyle and stats.
- Two-Handed Sword + Mace and Shield
- Two-Handed Sword + One-Handed Sword and Shield
- Two-Handed Sword + 2x One-Handed Sword
Two-Handed Sword: Two-Handed Sword is a must for Fighter build with Whirlwind. You will not be able to use this skill without a two-handed sword. What’s really great about Two-Handed Sword is that you can break enemy shields and counter them. The Two-Handed Sword is a highly effective weapon that I strongly advise you to always carry.
Swords: Swords are great when you are using Battle Cry. The reason is that you will be able to hit the enemy multiple times, healing yourself and slowing them down. With a Two-Handed Sword, you will have a hard time utilizing Battle Cry. The reason is that Two-Handed Sword is slow and you can miss easily, so you will basically waste Battle Cry. So always use Swords when using Battle Cry to get the most out of it.
Mace and Shield: Excellent weapons for those on a budget. With Mace and Shield, you are able to increase your stamina. This is particularly beneficial when facing opponents who wield swords and daggers.
Crossbow: If you want to play safely and damage enemies from range, you can use Crossbow, but it is not that effective on Fighter, so I would not recommend using it.
Equipment and Equipment Stats
For equipment and Heirlooms, create a combination of Strength, Stamina, and Dexterity so you can get the 3 most important skills. Additionally, you want to get stats that will further increase your damage, like Max Damage increase on stacks on kill, crit, and crit damage. The reason why you want to have as much damage as possible is so you can burst down the enemy.
