Dungeonborne: How To Craft & Use Flasks

Dungeonborne How To Craft & Use Flasks

Flasks in Dungeonborne have a significant impact on gameplay. Without using a flask, you are at a big disadvantage in fights. There are currently five different flasks that you can get and craft in Dungeonborne: the Incendiary Flask, Thunderclap Flask, Stoneshaping Flask, Smokescreen Flask, and Flask of Shielding. In this guide, we will explain everything you need to know about when and how to use flasks, as well as how to craft and obtain them.

Types of Flasks and How to Use Them

Incendiary Flask Incendiary Flask

Creates a 3-meter radius patch of burning ground that lasts 10 seconds. Anyone entering the burning takes 5 damage every 0.5 seconds for 8 seconds, with healing received reduced by 50% during this duration. Can only be used once every 20 seconds.

This is a flask that you will use primarily against classes that have a life on hit gear and skills, such as Fighter class. During the fight, you want to throw this flask on them, but they don’t need to be standing inside it. All you need to do is hit them once, and they will get a debuff that will reduce healing by 50% for 8 seconds, which is great.

Thunderclap FlaskThunderclap Flask

Deals 80 damage to all units within a 2 meter radius and reduces their movement speed by 50% for 6 seconds. Can only be used once every 20 seconds.

This is a flask that the majority of players use because there are a lot of ways to use it. When you hit enemy players with it, it will slow their movement speed by 50% for 5 seconds. So use Thunderclap Flask when you want to escape, catch an enemy, or slow their movement speed during a fight so you can’t outplay them. Overall, without using Thunderfalsk in a fight, you are at a huge disadvantage.

Stoneshaping Flask Stoneshaping Flask

Creates 4 stone barriers lasting 10 seconds. Barriers can be destroyed by attacks. Can only be used once every 20 seconds.

When you throw this flask, it will create a stone wall. This flask will be used for two situations: escaping and isolating. If you are low HP and you want to escape from an enemy, you want to use a Stoneshpaing flask to block doors and paths. Yes, the enemy can destroy it, but it will buy you some time to heal or create distance. In higher-end matches, players also use Stoneshaping Flask to isolate enemy players from the team or block players from escaping.

Smokescreen FlaskSmokescreen Flask

Creates a smoke cloud in a 6 meter radius lasting g seconds. Can only be used once every 20 seconds.

The majority of players do not use this flask because it only creates smoke and nothing else. Not worth it when other flasks offer better value.

Flaks of ShieldingFlaks of Shielding

Drink to gain a protective shield that absorbs 250 damage of any type for 25 seconds. Has a 20-second cooldown before it can be used again, shares cooldown with Flasks.

Incredibly powerful flask. When you use this flask, it will give you a shield for 250. It has a long cast time, so you want to use it before you engage with the enemy. For example, if you hear an enemy behind a door or in another room, you want to use Flaks of Shielding. After you’ve used it, you can wait or engage with an enemy player. I would recommend that you wait a few seconds so that other flasks like Thunderclap Flask and Incendiary Flask come back from cooldown.

How to Get Flasks in Dungeonborne

Crafting Flasks

There are a few ways to get a flask in Dungeonborne: Looting Enemy Player, Looting Chests/Monsters, and crafting them in Alchemist.

Looting Enemy Player: During the match, each player will bring a few flasks. This means that when you kill them, you will find a few flasks on them that you can loot. Also, you will find crafting material for flasks on them, so do not forget to take that.

Looting Chest and Monsters: If you are low in flask and material for crafting, you can always play a few farming games where you will avoid fighting and just loot chests. In the chest and monsters, you will find a lot of flasks and materials for crafting them.

Crafting: In Alchemist, you can craft flasks using Yarrow Blossom. It costs 3 Yarrow Blossom per flask. What you will craft depends on your playstyle, but we recommend that you always craft a few thunderclap flasks for slowing, escaping, and catching enemy players.
