Dungeonborne: How To Find Extraction, Dark and Shadow Portals

Dungeonborne How To Find Portals

A lot of new players in Dungeonborne do not know how to find portals, but it is extremely simple. There are plenty of portals in Dungeonborne and few ways to find them. Currently, there are 3 types of portals in Dungeonborne: extraction portals, dark portals, and shadow portals. So in this guide, we will cover all the ways to find them all.

Blue Extraction Portal

Normal Portals in Dungeonborne

Blue Extraction Portal is a portal that players can use to extract, and you will be able to find them extremely easily. You will recognize them by the blue circle on the ground. They will not be shown on the map, but there is an item that you can get from the boss that will locate them.

Keep in mind that they will start appearing extremely fast at the end of their game, while at the start there will not be a single one. If you are playing with higher difficulty, then a lot of blue portals will be in the last 2 circles.

If you open the map, you will see blue gates. Those are extraction portals that are activated, but you have to wait until the gates open. Usually, gates will open after 5 minutes, but there is a limited number of them so if you want to camp them the enemy player can not steal it from you.

The item for Locating Portals

There is a gemstone that you can get by defeating bosses that will locate the nearest portal. If you find one and you want to extract your character, all you have to do is equip it in your consumables slot and activate it the same as you would using a potion. Once activated, it will show a portal icon on the map.

Dark Portal

Dark Portal in Dungeonborne is a portal that will lead you to a higher-tier map. This portal is similar to an exit portal, but instead of blue, it is red. It will not be shown on the map, so you have to find it by exploring. Once you find a red circle on the ground, activate it. Once activated, simply enter the portal, and you will be on a higher-level map. Usually, they start appearing at the end of the game. The game will inform you in the feed that dark portals have started to appear.

If you open the map, you will see that there are red gates the same as blue gates. These red gates will open much earlier than the ones that start appearing on the ground. So if you want to enter a higher-level map as soon as possible, go to the red gates. Keep in mind that there is a high chance that enemy players will be there waiting for the portal, especially rogue players who want to enter higher-end maps to loot.

Shadow Portal

Shadow Portal in Dungeonborne

Shadow Portal is a portal that will teleport you to your boss. You will recognize it by the big purple stone on the ground. On the map, it will also be a purple color, so you can recognize it extremely easily. Now it does not spawn immediately when the game starts. It will spawn a few minutes until the game ends, so you have to survive and play safe. When the game is nearing an end, open your map and you will be able to see purple stone. Keep in mind that you can come across other players who want to use that portal.
